What should I do if I can not open some of the links on this website?

Many browsers prevent pages from opening a new window from JavaScript function. This occur when you try to open a new window page from a pop-up item. Please check your computer settings. Make sure you have Enable active scripting turned on. Open browser window : tools --> internet options --> security -->custom level.

What items can and can not I bring into Riverfest?

DO BRING the Following Items:
br Driver’s License/State Issued Photo ID, Still Camera, ATM Card, A Shirt and your Dancin’ Shoes (or at least some comfortable shoes), Your Favorite Friends
br DON’T BRING the Following Items:

Food, Beverages, or Alcohol, Glass, Cans, or Coolers, Video Equipment or Laser Pointers, Pets or Animals, Weapons or Contraband, Bikes, Rollerblades, Skateboards, or Scooters (except Handicapped), Any Item Found by Ottawa Policeto be Inappropriate or Offensive

PLEASE NOTE: Disallowed items are included but not limited to the items above. VIOLATION OF ABOVE RULES ARE SUBJECT TO POLICE ACTION!

Can I bring in a cooler?


No coolers are allowed.
Is there an admission price to get in to see the bands at Riverfest?

No there is not an admission price to see the bands but if you want to purchase food of beverages while you are at the “Taste” you will need to purchase tickets. The tickets are $10.00 for a strip of 9 tickets.
Can I bring my pet into the “Taste”?

No animals are allowed.
Are a shirt and shoes required at the “Taste”?

Yes.
Are bicycles allowed at the “Taste”?

No bikes, scooters (unless used by the handicapped), skateboards, or rollerblades are allowed.
Are strollers allowed?

Yes.
Is there handicapped parking near the “Taste” and carnival area?

Yes, it is located in the jury parking lot just before you get near the Veterans Memorial Bridge on Rt. 23 south, on the right side. There will be signage stating this area is for Handicapped Parking only.
Can I bring a lawn chair into the “Taste” site?

You can but you might not be able to see sitting down because almost everyone stands up and it gets very crowded.
Can I bring a camera, any kind of video camera, or audio device into the “Taste” area?

Yes, but you have no right to broadcast or televise, or otherwise reproduce any of the performances or any parts thereof.
What parking lots/street closures and  other important information will I need to know during the Riverfest Celebtration?

Due to the upcoming Riverfest activities, the drop-off boxes for:

MEDIACOM, U. S. POST OFFICE and OTTAWA WATER DEPARTMENT

located in the 100 block of W. Jackson Street will not be available for use the Firday of the Riverfest celebration through the Monday after Riverfest.

Street Closures due to Riverfest Activities:

Woodward Memorial Drive, Canal Street and Clinton Street (from West Main Street) will be closed to through traffic and on-street parking starting Monday of the Riverfest Celebration.

The 100 block of East Jackson Street and the 100 and 200 blocks of West Jackson Street will be closed to through-traffic and on-street parkiing starting Friday of the Riverfest Celebration and will be open on the Monday after Riverfest.

Boyce Memorial Drive, far West Madison Street, far West Lafayette Street and many other side streets at the far west side of Ottawa will be closed to through traffic and on-street parking on the Sunday of the Riverfest Celebration.
